Working together as a team, players try to help the cat and its companions get back onto the boat. Players achieve this by playing tiles or action cards, creating a safe path for the animals to swim, all in real time. The players' quick thinking and decision-making skills can save the animals and help them continue their boat journey before they run out of strength.
Flow is a cooperative game where players work together to connect four animal spaces to the boat tile in the center of the board by drawing and playing tiles. If the players run out of tiles and the animals haven't been connected to the boat, they all lose. In addition, the game uses a timer, and each time the time runs out, players roll two dice that indicate where the giant wave hits and sweeps away the tiles already placed.
